Kidwatching 2.0

Using Data to Inform Whole Group, Small Group & Individual Learning Experiences

Proximity matters.  That’s because being up close to students’ work, conversations and interactions creates connectedness and gives us a front row seat for understanding what students know, can do, and what they need next.  What we see and hear can lead us to making inferences about our students. It can also spearhead wonderings...creating inquiries around students’ insights, ideas, and questions.  If we aren’t up close, we might miss it. It’s about the big take-aways that happen when we have eyes and ears on the ground…in the work…to kidwatch because it gives us the teacher know-how of what to do next for each of our students. This workshop will focus on collecting data through Kidwatching and then using that intel to design whole group, small group and individual learning experiences.
